ROCKLAND PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH, the Presbytery of Allegheny origanized this church body in 1822. The first preacher Reverend Robert McGarrugh held services in a log house and a tent, located on the Bickle farm, on land donated by James Morrow. Later the church relocated to lot donated by Joshua Davis in the village of Freedom (Pittsville).

The church closed and it's building was sold sometime in the 1960's. Partial records are held at the Venango County Historical Society, Franklin, Pennsylvania.
